Demand for flexible management systems is growing in Russia

1C:ERP: supporting the national goal of digital sovereignty and making complex manufacturing more efficient

Moscow, July 24, 2025 –
Tsifrovizatsiya Proizvodstva (CIFP), with the support of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy (DIPP), held an industry lecture session on trends and specifics of digital transformation in large holding companies. The event brought together executives of leading industrial companies, including representatives of Kalashnikov Concern, Karacharovo Mechanical Plant, the Progress Research Institute of Microelectronic Equipment, and others.

The experts discussed optimal planning horizons and modern forecasting methods in an unstable environment. Participants paid particular attention to the national goals for digital sovereignty and digital transformation set by Presidential Decree No. 309 of May 7, 2024, “On the National Development Goals of the Russian Federation for the Period up to 2030,” which calls for at least 80% of Russian organizations in key sectors of the economy to switch to Russian software in the systems that support their core production and management processes by 2030.

Anton Kulish, CEO of CIFP, spoke about dynamic planning in 1C:ERP, which improves business management efficiency by up to 30%. It is a modern tool for automating production processes that helps optimize capacity utilization, minimize downtime, and respond quickly to changes in demand. He emphasized the advantages of adaptive approaches to managing production processes in today’s environment.

Evgeny Klimov, an expert with the Effektivnost.rf project, outlined government support measures for manufacturers in the area of digitalization. In his talk, he noted that implementing MDC (Machine Data Collection) technology can increase equipment uptime from 30% to 60% and raise labor productivity by up to 50%. He also described free pilot projects for implementing equipment monitoring and control systems at industrial companies.

Olga Shestel, head of the Dinamika strategic marketing and branding bureau, spoke about the new role of marketing in industry and the barriers that keep companies from changing:

- Conservatism and resistance within the team;
- A focus on the product rather than the customer;
- Underestimating digital marketing and business analytics tools as a competitive advantage.

According to the “Challenges 2025” study, despite sanctions pressure and the exit of foreign manufacturers from the market, the main challenges for Russian businesses are intensifying competition (43% of respondents) and changing consumer preferences (37%). Marketing for industrial companies is becoming more complex and is reaching a new stage of evolution. As Olga put it, “natural selection is under way.”

A separate discussion focused on the use of artificial intelligence in manufacturing. Grigory Bubankov, an industrial business development expert, demonstrated the capabilities of the Luna Line computer vision platform, including product defect detection, analysis of video and images, product quality assessment, and more.  The new generation of computer vision solutions cuts ML model training time by one to two orders of magnitude. Now a single person can train the system.

The recommendations on choosing IT infrastructure for the 1C platform, presented by Ivan Pribylovsky, CEO of Emerhelp, drew particular practical interest. His talk covered specific technical solutions and case studies of sizing server configurations for 1C:ERP at industrial companies.

“Today we see demand for flexible management systems that can adapt to rapidly changing conditions. Russian solutions such as 1C:ERP have proven their effectiveness even in complex manufacturing,” Anton Kulish said in his closing remarks.

Facts and figures:

  • 25% of participants already use a Russian ERP system (1C:ERP)
  • 35% plan to implement one in the near future
